Brake Lights & Reverse lights now working

For sometime now, both the reverse lights stopped working at the same time. at one point in time, both came on and then stopped again.... For few days now the brake lights also have stopped working as well. Mine is 96 camyr stick...any help to DIY fix to this problem?

Check the wiring harness in the trunk where it splits off to the trunk lid. The constant trunk door usage can cause the wires to break.

This might also be the problem with the brake lights.

I finally checked the fuse for the brake light and found that it was fused. It changed it and now my brake lights are working. I'm going to check the spot where it splits in the trunk. I would also like to check the fuse of the reverse light. Unfortunately the diagram does not show that. Is there a way to find the fuse for the reverse lights are for toyota 96 dx camry?

Gauge fuse.

Thank you. I checked the fuse and it was fine. I checked where the wire split in the trunk and the wires were all crushed. Thank you sir.... I'll have to find a good place to get it fixed.

If your handy with tools you can splice in sections of wire to increase the harness length and make reconnecting the wires easier. From past experiences fixing the wires without lengthening them sooner or later results in a repeat problem.
