electricity in the doors

hi, I have a problem with my car. There is some kind of static electricity (I think) on the doors. Every time I open the door after driving I can feel it, and it hurts. What can this be?

best regards

Where do you live? The dry air plus cold temps add to the static electricity shock that you get. I have grown accustom to bumping my forearm into the door when I get out of the car, less painful than a finger.
They do make grounding straps. It is basically a rubber strap that drags behind that car and comes in contact with the ground. It is supposed to mitigate shocks. It looks kind of trashy but is supposed to work.
As the weather gets warmer and we get away from winter, the static shocks should decrease. It is kind of a seasonal thing.
If it happens all the time, no matter the weather conditions, you might have a ground issue.
