Question OBD scanner recommendations

I am looking to pick up my own on board diagnostic scanner to use on my 06 Camry. I had my first experience using one recently when a buddy let me borrow his Innova 3040rs scanner. It was nice but I was hoping to pick up something that also had the ability to read transmission codes too.

Is there any make and model people would recommend that is user friendly and under the $150 price range?

thanks

You might look at a Foxwell N510. If you search around can get one for just under your price range. Its a good scanner and easy to use. The scanner has generic OBDII capability, then when purchasing one can specify the make of car, such as Toyota, to get the additional software to read Toyota proprietary codes at no extra charge. If in the future one gets say a GM car, for a fee, you can add the GM software to the scanner.

The Foxwell NT530 is supposed to be the updated revision but lists for $179. Not sure just what updated means.

Check out their website.

I use a Foxwell NT-301 and it is entry level but does what I need to and is easy to use.
Mine doesn't do transmission codes but I like the brand.
My two cents is all.
