How can I detect a short circuit in door locking system

I am first owner of a Camry 2003. Recently a fuse blew up causing the car to stop responding to remote lock/unlock. I replaced the fuse but it burned out at the first try. I think this may be due to a short circuit somewhere. Any idea how I can troubleshoot further to find problem spot?

Toyota dealer says they will charge $230 to do an electrical diagnostics which seems crazy to me.

In earlier year cars typically a short would occur in the wiring between the drivers door and chassis. This was due to constant door opening and closing flexing the wiring.

Newer systems are more complicated.

Have you tried each individual door lock?
