Angry Intermittent starting

Hey guys My 1991 Toyota camry 3sfe with the auto, will start once in a blue moon with the key. Put power to the terminal on the starter and it starts. Hasn't worked in 3 years but at 4 this morning it worked, but only once. So I did a jumper wire on the NSS and nothing. Was going to put a push button in but can't get a good place to take a wire through the firewall. Been looking online for the location of the starter relay for 5 days, and found 3 different places people say the relay is and there isn't one that I can find. Tried searching and 1991 toyota camry pops up with 1999 jeep Cherokee Ford f150, and anything else that isn't a 1991 camry. Hopefully someone can help me, cause a can of gas and a lighter is getting extremely tempting.

yes dash works, injectors work, Just start doesn't send power through to the NSS.

So I am confused. yesterday I wanted to hear how the new exhaust sounds, so I hooked my jumper wire for the starter back up, and the car hit once, and wouldn't hit again. So just now I put some fuel in it, and now the key is working normal. Is there a low fuel pressure safety that won't allow power to the starter?

The only safety feature for the starter is the Park/Neutral switch. You tried to jump this switch?

Try looking behind the left kick panel for the starter relay.

No starter relay that I can find. at least not where it should be. I did jump the switch and nothing, also tested and when it wasn't activating the starter there wasn't power to the NSS. For 2 days now after it started working with the key, it has worked flawlessly.

The auto trans does not have a starter relay.

For auto trans, the ign switch ST1 circuit (starter switch portion of switch) sends power to the NSS then to starter solenoid.

The ign switch is powered by the AM1 fuse which also powers ACC and IG1 circuits.

If there is no power at the NSS switch there may be an issue the wiring or switch.
