Default New Forum Member - Wiring Issues, HELP!

Hi there,

I am a new member of this forum, and am looking for help with my beloved Camry.

She is a 92, 4 cylinder 2.2L babe, and has 350,000 kms. As of late, she has been bucking, but only when it rains. But just a couple of days ago, we had a rainstorm, and when I was on the way home from work, she was bucking a little bit when idling, but when I pulled into my street I hit the gas harder than usual and got NOTHING. No acceleration at all, just nothing. So I got her home, and parked, and tried again - every time that I hit the gas hard, there is no acceleration, but when I accelerate gradually this doesn't happen.

I've recently replaced the plug wires, and used wire dryer on the distributor cap after this incident, which didn't fix the problem - does anyone out there have any suggestions? I would appreciate so much any info that anyone has to share - I want to get her back to the road warrior she's always been

Thanks for any feedback you can provide!

The ign coil case can crack, the results are issues with moisture.

Since you replaced the wire, might replace the cap and rotor also.
