Camry XLE 1999 model has no dashlights(instrument panel lights) & backup lights(reverse lights), I have checked all the fuses and they are all working. any help please :confused:

What lights on the panel?

Does the glove box light work"

For the reverse lights check the wiring for damage where it transitions from the chassis to the truck lid.

Thanks for your help Toyomoho. All the small lights work on the panel except the big light that shines at night (on instrument panel). Glove box, cig lighter, interior light work. Reverse lights wires are all fine. Still no reverse lights.

If those lights listed work the instrument panel PANEL fuse is OK.

The panel light splits off from a junction box that powers the other lights.

Can you dim any of the lights with the dimmer knob?

Have you checked the bulbs.

The back up lights are on a different circuit via the GAUGE fuse. This also powers which powers things like power window, engine and trans computer, key reminder and seat belt buzzer.

Suggest you use a volt meter to check for DC power at the reverse light bulb plug. Power might be Red/Black wire, ground is White/Black. If power at Red/Black wire make sure the ground wire is OK. Both bulbs are wired to the same power wire.
