toyota camry 2001 drivers window not working

thank you in advance for taking the time to help me with this!

background: i left my windows open during the rain and the drivers side panel (where the window controllers are) was soaked. the next day, all the windows were acting funny -- working and then not working. the following day, everything works fine with the exception of the drivers side window which does not respond at all.

so far: i have taken apart the panel and cleaned and dried it. i am able to push the button that operates the window on the drivers side but it has no response at all.

the wires and fuses are obviously ok as the rest of the panel is working. all the buttons are also working fine (mechanically).

question: i see the panel is available for sale on ebay for about $20. before i buy a new one i wanted to check with the experts if there is something else i might try!

thank you again.

A few suggestions:

Rain water could still be present, plus acidic and lead to corrosion.

Spray, inject, etc a material inside designed to displace moisture from electronics. Some use 90% isopropyl alcohol. Drill a hole in safe location of case to allow this material enter and drain out. Don't use WD-40 as it will leave a film and is mostly a flammable solvent.

If you have flushed out any water with a material, let dry. Can bury in uncooked rice to draw off moisture.

Or try to cook off any remaining moisture by placing unit in oven at LOW heat for a number of hours.

Check motor operation by applying 12v pos to one wire and 12v neg to the other. To reverse motor, reverse polarity.
