Default ’95 LE Camry with engine problems

My ’95 4-cylinder Camry has about 186k miles. Recently, I have noticed that my oil level has been about a quart low and trying to figure out the source of the problem. While investigating the car, the spark plugs were changed and I noticed that the middle 2 plugs outer rubber lining was a red/yellow color. The coolants color was brownish. My thoughts are to (1) do a compression test and (2) do a coolant test for oil…does anyone know how to do these tests or how difficult? My initial thoughts for the source of the problem could be a blown head gasket. Any ideas or am I on the right track??

Your probably right i would just drain the oil and coolant and see if there is water in the oil or oil in the water. The brown coolant could be due to rust in your cooling system but, considering you missing oil you may have a blown head gasket.
