Default 2000 Camry 2.2L valve cover problem

Hi,
I watched a video on youtube on how to replace the valve cover gasket on 2000 toyota camry 2.2L. The guy said to tighten the bolts to 70 pound-feet.
Unfortunately, I was not smart enough to research it and tried to tighten the four nuts on the top of the valve cover almost to 50 pound-feet.
During the process, I heard like something cracked. I did not start the engine.
Can someone please tell me what might happen???

Thanks!

Default

sure it wasnt " inch pounds " .... 70 foot pound is more like a main bearing cap bolt

8.0 (80, 71 in.lb) by the repair manual

an over tighten will crack the valve cover and you have to source another valve cover

or could strip the holding threads in the head
