2002 Camry Stalling
My 2002 Camry LE 4 cyl, keeps stalling on me. It acts like it's running out of gas, yet the tank is full, then it stalls. I have to wait a few minutes before it will start back up again. I justhad it in the shop 2 days ago, and had the recommended 60k tune up and theyflushed my valves. I asked about having the fuel filter and/or pump looked at and was told it shouldn't be the issue. Car still stalls. Any suggestions?

RE: 2002 Camry Stalling
get your crank positioning sensor checked out.

RE: 2002 Camry Stalling
I agree. Get the crank sesnor looked at. See if you notice anY dummy lights " check engine light" ect. That will give you a better idea of the problem area. A new set of plugs can never hurt. Specially if chemicals have been run threw them

RE: 2002 Camry Stalling
No dummy lights go on, and it only seems to stall when its cold. After waiting a few minutes it will restart with no problems and run just fine. I will look into the crank sensor.

RE: 2002 Camry Stalling
Also, can you tell me where the crank positioning sensor is located and how hard would it be for me to check it myself?

RE: 2002 Camry Stalling
Also, is it an expensive part to replace.

RE: 2002 Camry Stalling
Check your crank again my friend.. But I'm thinking that your alternator might have a problem over there...

RE: 2002 Camry Stalling
definately get your fuel filter replaced. ive had that probem before. besides it should only be a 5 to 15 dollar part and it should be pretty easy to instal

RE: 2002 Camry Stalling
my wife camery did the same. it stalled when she stop at a stop sign or light. i replace the temp sensor and it worked fine. do a search on yahoo. on stalled camery and there should be a bunch of info there.

RE: 2002 Camry Stalling
The Check engine light finally came on and the computer said it was my charcoal canister and my CVC valve that needs replacing. They want to charge me $1150. because they have to pull the whole tank out to get to it! Ouch!!! Any suggestion on doing it cheaper?
