2005 LE Radiator?
Hey All,
Does anyone know if an 05 Camry LE (3.0 six cylinder) with AT has an aluminum radiator or is it brass/copper? Thanks. |
Aluminum.

Not so easy to solder a pinhole as the brass.....probably best to just replace instead.... |
A brass radiator will weigh more and may have a brass top and bottom instead of plastic. There may be an aftermarket brass radiator that fits this year of car.
Keep in mind modern brass radiators are not built like yesterdays. The modern ones use brass the thickness of paper and the components held together very lightly. Unless very careful one can blow a hole in the material with the torch and the heat cause more leaks as the surrounding solder (used sparingly) melts. Suggest buying a radiator locally as the modern ones can get damaged in shipping causing leaks. If possible find one with lifetime warranty. |

I guess it being aluminum negates the temptation to solder....just buy the new aluminum with the lifetime warranty sounds like sound advice.... |
