95 Camry stalling in gear

I have a 95 Camry. When i start the car it idles perfectly normal but once the car is put into drive or reverse it imediately begins idling very rough and eventualy stalls. This happens regardless of weather the car is warm or cold. Any help here would be greatly apreciated. Thanks

Same here, on an 88 Camry

My 88 Camry, with 220,000 miles, idles very rough once put into drive. Neutral is OK, and the car runs great otherwise when not idling.

Any help?

RE: Same here, on an 88 Camry

Well it seems your cars have trouble idiling once there is a load on the engine. Have you tried the routine matience route like o2 sensors, IACV, Spark plugks, cap and rotor, wires, MAF if applicable, or it just may be a tps problem.

Are they idiling normal? Have you checked for vacuum? Dirty injectors maybe or even a cloged cat.

These are a few places to start hope that helped,
Chris
