Engine heaters

Lost Prairie commonly has double digits sub-zero at night and sometimes even in the day. What sort of an engine heater do you recommend? It's a 2013 Camry LE. I've heard about the freeze plug types being a problem with the LE.
Any advice?

I've never used one so I can't really say, but does Toyota offer one?

Might check out the following:

Pyroil Engine Block Heater PYR00913

Make sure the engine oil is the lowest weight as recommended in owners manual.

Thanks for the replies Gents. It's 21 below zero here at the moment and the Camry started right up for my wife to go to town. It took almost 20 minutes to get warm enough inside for her to get in and sit down.

The posts I had read on a few different automotive boards talked about there being freeze plug problems with a number of heaters and the new Camrys. The Pyroil was one of them. Best recommendation I've seen so far is for an in-line heater on the radiator return line. I'm going to try that one and I'll let you know what happens.
Thanks again.

Let us know how it goes!

Well, here's how it went. The Toyota rep asked us to let Toyota install their own block heater since it comes with an unconditional Toyota warrantee.... so, we did that today.
All we can do is wait and see, but the tech was so positive about the track record on that unit, we may not have a reason to be concerned.
Time will tell.

Temp here early morning was up to -22 and the Camry started up as if it were +80 and came up to driving temperature in about 2 minutes. Much better than 20.
