Fuel pressure regulator vs fuel pump

Thanks, Toyomoho, for responding to my post on Oct. 24 concerning intermittent power loss at speed (I was registered under a different name but had failed to enter my full email address and thus was blocked from replying. I've just re-registered.)

Question: How would I isolate whether my problem is a faulty fuel pressure reguator or a faulty fuel pump?

Thanks again.

loss ofd power and speed

hi guys...av gotta aquestion about my 1996 toyota camrey......sometymes all over sudden it reduces speed even if i press the gas paddle..the speedometre stick will go a little high but the speed will remain the same...then i noticed that now the stick couldnt even move.....some times example if i come like to a stop the car could not pick up well and will go up to like 40mph and i feel like its like somethind holding resisting the movement of rotating parts its like driving a manual car in a wrong gear....plis help

No sure I understand you description.

Does the trans "feel" like it is in a higher gear then it should be?

Sometimes the torque converter can fail to unlock, the car would "feel" as if starting out in a high gear.
