ok
so i just burnt a valve in my 3s-fe.
so now i have an excuse for a swap.


could i bolt in a 3sgte?
if so, what axles, shift linkages and all that could i use?

I think the engine uses the same block as the 3S.

well i know the 5sfe and the 3sfe can be swapped pretty easily due to them having the same engine mounts. and i know that the 5sfe and 3sgte also uses the same mounts. so im 90% sure that the 3sgte will bolt up just fine. as for shift linkages and axels do you know off the top of your head what tranny you have?

no. i have no idea..

its a 1989 3S-FE camry. if that helps..

i can order a 3S-GTE form jdmsource.com for 1500.

i just dont know what is interchangeable between cars, such as the axles, shift linkages, harnesses, etc.

and also..

is the 3sgte for the celica any different from the mr2 3sgte?
besides the celica being one of those top mounted intercoolers i think?
