Transmission leak.

My 1999 Camry V6 has a slight auto transmission leak where the engin and transmission comes together. It's not a bad leak just a drop or two getting on the exhaust and smelling. Haven't even added fluid yet, but watching. My question is the tranny will need to get pulled to replace the front seal, a $9.00 part, but how much will the trany pull cost me?

RE: Transmission leak.

If the trans input shaft seal then the trans needs to be removed.

Of course most of the cost is labor. The engine may need to shifted forward to get the trans out.

Guessing $600 to over $1k depending on labor rates.

Too much, I'll just deal with it for now or try a stopleak. Gunk makes one, any others?

Have never used the stop leak sealants.

If you do pull the trains also change out the crankshaft seal.

Tried the Gunk sealant, and the leak is all but gone for now. I just used 1/2 the bottle since that was how low the trany was. Yea I know the leak will return, I'll fix it later when I can afford it but for now I'm happy.
