02 Camry 4cyl engine noise on intervals...??

I have just purchased an 02 Camry 4cyl for 1000 with a (rod knocking)...

There does not seem to be a rod knocking to me. Here is what I hear and would like members to run it past their experiences.

When the car starts there is a 4-5 second noise that sounds like a flex plate bolt rubbing on something that goes away soon after.

Almost 7-8 seconds later you hear what sounds like a wrist pin or rod noise/rattle that lasts for 1 quick second or so and then goes away for another 7-8 seconds. You can almost put your watch on it.

Seems to have something to do with oil pressure or roatations being and creating the oncoming of the next sound. There is no variation hear. You can count on your fingers (at idle) and the noise will appear.

I'm afraid to drive it like this but wonder....rod...water pump impeller...timing chain tensioner or guide???
