07-11 Melting/Cracking Dash Warranty

I just wanted to let everyone who owns the 6th generation Camry know that Toyota has extended a warranty in the event of cracking or melting dash condition.
I just received my notice in the mail that I am covered until sometime in 2017.
From my understanding, this date applies to all Camry's of 07-11. It doesn't matter if your the first owner or the tenth. Mileage doesn't matter either.
It seems that Toyota has heard the people!

Great news! The internet is littered with posts about melting dashes.

Good to see Toyota is stepping up to the plate and backing up their reputation for quality with action.

I got this warranty notice and I also just got one covering "excessive oil consumption"! I was surprised to see that Toyota was stepping up and covering all this.

Just got my oil consumption one as well! Nice to seeing Toyota make things right!

Hey folks, I haven't been here in a while but wanted to let you all know that I haven't forgotten about you. After starting my dashboard issue campaign back in 2013, numerous phone calls with Toyota Corporate, my YouTube video,
, and Toyota finally issuing all of those warranty enhancements; I have finally gotten my dashboard replaced. If you have a Toyota with a melty, shiny, sticky dashboard, I would recommend that you visit your nearest Toyota dealership to have them take a look and order you a new one. Of course you'll be behind the 8-ball due to the backlog but you can still get it replaced. Good luck!

I just found out about the sticky dash problem in July 2019. My car has been showing this for years and yet Toyota dealer never said anything about it. I assumed it was just bad stuff I put on it. Has been doing it for years. It hasn't gone away and we need to keep this thread alive.
