07 Camry JBL AMP Removal

Hi,
I have a 07 Camry with a bad JBL 86280-0w391 AMP as troubleshot by the Toyota dealership for $115. They informed me that the AMP is $700 and another $115 to install it. YIKES!! Therefore I asked them for the part number and location of the AMP so I could resource on my own. Well I have purchased a replacement AMP for $125 :) and am wondering what’s involved in doing the replacement myself. They said the AMP is under the seat.

Therefore I’m looking for assistance in how to do the removal/replacement. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Check under front passengers seat.

Not sure how it is mounted, look at the new amp to figure it out, the harness plugs in.

Might ask at the Toyotanation site.

Under seat are other wires and plugs for items such as the airbag, make sure you find the right one.

Amplifier

Hi,

I was reading your message about the Amplifier. Mine just stopped working and was wondering if could please let me know where did you buy it. I went to the dealer and is now $753 + tax.

I would appreciate any information that you may provide.

Thanks,

Amp

Amplifier1,
I purchased mine from a used auto parts place aka junk yard. I would contact a local reputable used parts place and they can do a search for it with their parts locators. Most of them will back up the part as functional.

Try Ebay plus an internet search on the P/N.
