07 Camry rear seat removal ?????

I bought a 07 Camry SE that has really poor condition seats from the previous owner. So I bought a replacement set of factory seat covers. But I have to remove the seats to recover them, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the back seat (the part you sit on). It seems as though there must be some kind of release catch but nyone have any insight into this issue??

RE: 07 Camry rear seat removal ?????

I have not owned nor do I own a current generation Camry, but I have had 3 previous Camrys. All my camrys have the same back seat clips holding it in place. The rear seat cushion is held on by 2 clips. If you sit in the back seat on either side of the car, reach down between your knees under the seat cushion and you can feel where the clips are. Once you have located where the clips are, get yourself into a position where you can put some pulling force on it. Wedge your hand under the cushion and pull straight up. As I recall, there are no buttons or levers to push/pull to release the seat clip. It is held on by friction only. Once you get the clips released, slide the cushion forward. I hope this is helpful.

What happened to your seats? After not even a year, they are already ruined?
