'07 Camry tranny electrical?
Everybody,
I have an '07 Camry LE 4 cylinder w/85K miles & auto tranny. A few weeks back, wife & I were driving it, and after stopping at a traffic light, we went to go, but the tranny acted like it was in neutral. I believe we went back into park and then back into drive & all was ok. Didn't think much of it. My son had the car the last couple of weeks & he said this happened to him a few times, also. He said he would turn the car off and restart and things were ok again. I haven't looked underneath the car yet, but anyone heard of this problem before I start to look? |
Does happen, many causes.
Check fluid level. When was fluid last changed? Obtain ODBII scanner and check for trans codes. Disconnect the wiring harness to trans and determine if it now works manually. |
I got the car only a few months ago...have only put about 1k miles on it since then....level was good, but Ill check again tonight...I haven't changed it, but I do not believe it has been changed in its life yet....I do have a scanner & Ill check for any codes...Check engine light isn't on....I'll unplug the tranny tonight after work or possibly tomorrow and report back.....

Sorry for getting back so late, was out of town. The fluid level was fine & appears clean. It's a reddish brown color & is transparent. We just drove it to San Diego. It's about 5-6hr drive from Phx. No issues on the way there or back. I haven't unplugged the harness from the tranny yet,
