1993 Camry 4cy Throttle sticks at 0 (Idle) Position.
 

Recently my throttle has been sticking at idle. I have seen this discussed one time before but the image was removed so I have no idea what needs cleaning. I have attached some photos. When turning it, it's the same feeling as if your just broke a small screw loose. Kind of hear that click sound then it moves freely. It doesn't stick all the time. But I would say about 60-75% of the time when driving and going to push the gas peddle again, I feel the resistance.


I recently bought a 2000 Camry 4cyl, which also has the same symptoms as my 1993.

Try cleaning the throttle body itself and see if that helps your problem

I cleaned the throttle body last weekend. It seemed to help a LOT, but it was still sticking a little bit. But as of yesterday it has not been sticking at all anymore. :) So I'll probably try cleaning it some more when it gets warmer out. There was a lot of black gunk in there thats for sure.
