1993 SE V6 5spd no power until warm; intermittent no crank

Hey guys, I have a '93 SE V6 5spd car with 159k. I'm having an intermittent no crank/no start issue AND no power until warm. Just bought it today so I don't know too much about it but the kid rigged up a tach since the gauge panel is dead. It died on the way home and after fiddling with it, it started up like it never happened. I think the no crank was caused by the floor mat jammed up under the dash (removed it, hasn't happened since but have not driven it much). He said it always seemed to need to warm up before driving as it would fall flat on it's face in 2nd gear or higher. After allowing it to warm up. I drove it a few miles with no apparent issues. I'm leaning towards IAC and I know for a fact it needs a tune up. Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys!

No crank and crank but no start are different issues. If cranking have you checked for ign spark?

How does the engine idle cold and hot?

Cranking issue is not a real issue. It was the floor mat being jammed up under the pedal not allowing it to fully contact the clutch safety switch. I verified it by shoving it up there myself and trying to crank it over. When it didn't crank I removed the floor mat entirely. Issue resolved. The bogging/hesitation issue is the real issue. This one is a bit trickier.

Check ign coil, ign wires, distributor cap/rotor, etc. Bad ign spark can cause bog.

If engine is OK when warm check ETC sensor which sends coolant temp to computer.

That is a very good idea. The kid I bought this off of jacked up the ect sensor when the gauge cluster died and he tried to rig in an aftermarket temp gauge. Said he had it all connected and the car ran like crap (obviously, the ECU sees no temp/cold temp so it dumps more fuel). Then he spliced the wires back together including the temp gauge but it doesn't work like at all. Ah, the more I'm finding out about this car just makes me wonder if it's worth it. Cars are not my forte, heavy duty and industrial diesel is lol.
