Question 1993 Steering binds a little when returning from a left turn....

Wondering if anyone has any ideas what part is failing.. When I turn left at normal speeds, on the return about 1/4 before returning to center, its gets stiff and I have to move the steering wheel harder then normal. The best I can describe is as if there was a LUMP. Now if I go slow on the left turn it will be fine. So for sure it has something to do with more pressure applied to the wheels during a turn. I did a quick examine of both sides but could not really find anything loose. The only thing I found was on the right side I need a new stabilizer bar link, one of the boots has been blown open and the ball is all rusty. Just wondering if anyone had a similar issue and knows what part has likely starting to fail...

This sounds like to me that the axle shafts need to be replaced. My '95 Camry had trouble with the steering similar to what you described before I changed my axleshafts out.

Hmmm I did have both CV Axles replaced in Dec 2010. So hopefully they have not failed. Would hope I would get more than 83,000 miles. Originals lasted 147,000 and actually had no issues but I had them replaced due to the boots failed. I'm going to see if I can mount my camera under and see if I can see anything moving in ways it shouldn't.
