1995 Camry error code 72
Have anyone experienced an error code 72 on a 1995 Camry? The check engine light came on with this error code but the car runs perfectly fine. I reset the check engine light and the code disappeared but reappeared a few hundred miles of driving and again the car runs fine.

Code 72 Fuel cut solenoid signal fault Does this make sense? |
This is a 1995 Camry? Is the car built for the US market? The code is not listed in the 1995 US Camry service manual.
Is the engine a 4 cylinder or V6? If V6 does it have a distributor with ign wires going to the spark plugs or does it have something else? Such as each cylinder having its own ign coil or there are 3 cylinders having a coil and a spark plug wire from each coil goes to another cylinder that does have a coil. The fuel pump will only keep running if the engine computer receives signals from a distributor sensor or remote cam sensor. These signals are generated by the engine cam rotating which means the engine is running. Could be a bad sensor, bad wiring, bad wiring connection. |
