1996 Toyota Vienta V6 (Camry) Problem
Hi, this is my first time on this forum so i hope ive put this in the right place.
I currently own a 1996 Toyota Vienta (Camry) 3.0 Auto. I live in Australia therefore all 3rd Gen V6 Camrys had the 3VZ-FE Engine.
The car has 160000kms (99000miles about)on the clock and we are having a weird problem which we think may be the transmission.
Once we start the car, sometimes we feel a small thud/kicking (lasts about 1/2 a sec) feeling. This thud will still be randomly felt whenever the car is running (Driving down the road, waiting at lights etc.) Whenever we are in Park, Reverse, Drive Etc we can feel this thud. This thud occurs randomly and sometimes more sever than others. Ive noticed that when this thud occurs the engine slightly drops in rpm then once the thud finishes it returns back to the norm rpm. We think that something in the transmission or something internally may be grabbing.
Everything in the engine seems fine but we know the tranny isnt shifting as smooth as it once did. (It wasnt as smooth before the thud problem started)
We have no real experience in fixing cars and ask me any questions if ive missed something or havent explained anything properly.

RE: 1996 Toyota Vienta V6 (Camry) Problem
Yes the transmission was flushed only a few weeks ago but the problem occured previously to that anyway. Also the transmission has been serviced about 20000kms ago....
I have checked up on similar problems and i have found the most common respons to the problem was the engine/transmission mounts....
I have no clue if this even can cause the problem ive just read on similar problems and that was the most common answer.
