Default '89 V6 starter click

as promised.. straight from the new-bitch forum to the general tech forum haha.. anyways.. back to the problem..

I have yet to see the car in person, i saw it on Craigslist, called my dad, told him about it and he went and grabbed it up for me.. i paid for it, he brought it home..

I guess when you hit the key it doesn't turn over.. the starter just clicks..
now im pretty mechanically inclined so i know the basics, like battery terminals being clean and tight.. my ideas off the top of my head without ever looking under the hood of a tuner car.. would be is it the starter? the starter solenoid?? Relay?? Heaven forbid it be seized??
thats about all the more i can think of.. any other suggestions before i get home and start tearing into it??

Might be a 2VZ-FE. This was replaced by in later models by a 3VZ-FE then a 1MZ-FE around 1992.

There should be something stamped on the block.
