1999 Camry LE drives like a rockett, then begins to stall...

My recently acquired 1999 Camry LE has about 152333 miles. I have put some 600 miles on it with no problems. At a point, it seemed to stutter a little. I put denatured alcohol to combat any water and it seemed okay for a while. When it began to stutter again, I replaced the fuel filter. After several hundred miles trouble-free highway miles, it has begun to stall after driving about a half-hour around town. If it starts, I must put it in neutral and race the engine, then shift and accelerate quickly or it will die again. After cooling, it works fine again until it begins to stall again after a short time of city driving. Other than at idle, it performs flawlessly. I have read the threads and understand the possibilities are distributors, capacitors, fuel pumps and wiring. The engine compartment looks factory fresh and it appears that the vehicle has been well taken care of. I do not get any codes when the check engine light comes on. It does not remain on, either. Would cleaning the spark plugs solve such a problem? Please advise. Thank you.

I forgot to identify the engine on the rocket...

The troublesome engine is a V6, and the A/C does not have to be on when the stalling occurs.

you don't mention a recent service

replace the spark plugs ..see if that is the problem

idle is good so can cross of most camry stalling faults

a maintenance question ?

do you know when the timing belt was replaced

Recent maintenance to the rocket...

By late Saturday, I had finally changed the 6th spark plug. AutoZone told me I needed to remove the intake manifold to get to the back 3, but a YouTube showed a way to just squeeze behind the complete engine. Although his hands were smaller than mine, I finally got it done that way. I will test drive it on the morrow, and I will ask the previous owner about the timing belt.
Thank you for your reply.
