2 small hoses on upper radiator hose
Hi
I have a 95 camry wagon and accidentally broke a small hose that I have no clue what i goes to. According to the Haynes Repair Manual (All i can find is the number 92006 in the top right corner) for 92's-96's on chapter 3-10 there is a picture (9.3a) that shows the coolant temp sending unit location on a 4-cylinder engine. Immediately to the right of it are 2 small hoses attached to the top at the end of the upper radiator hose. I accidentally broke the bottom hose looking around. |
This is a temperature activated air valve for the cars fuel tank evaporative system. When the coolant temp is hot the valve opens and stored fuel vapors in a canister are routed into the engine intake to be burned.
