2000 Solara Convertible - how many made?

I am in possesion of my Dad's 2000 Camry Solara convertible. I intend on selling it for him. I am trying to clarify some of the things he has been telling me about it since new... 1st year, was there only 1000 made? Did ASC do the top on it and Toyota took that over in 2001? Could it be said that the top job was done by hand?

Also it is a Canadian car, point of assembly (7/00) and market. It was converted to a US car because demand was so high at the time. The were able to convert everything but the climate control display. It is still in centrigrade, can this be changed?

I will be selling the car in the Baltimore MD area, V6 SLE with 46,000 miles, garage kept with very minor cosmetic flaws. Silver/black, aren't they all? LOL!

ASC did conversion in Kitchener, Ontario. The cars were assy in Canada by Toyota.

Both processes appeared to be later shifted to Kentucky.

Info stated during the first year ASC could do up to 6000 cars per year. No doubt the conversion was done by hand due to the low volumes, although when producing 1000 cars a year some type of production line must have been used.
