2001 Camry not starting

So this has been an annoying morning. I went out to move my car, and immediately I noticed a problem: the car would not start. I turned the key and the airbag light popped on, but as soon as I turned it to the ignition position, nothing. The light even turned off for the airbag when I did that.

At first I thought it might be the alarm system immobilizer misbehaving, but that system too was acting strangely. It refused to lock or unlock the doors properly. It would still arm and disarm, though the chirps weren't sounding correctly when it did and it wasn't properly locking or unlocking the doors the way it was supposed to. That was when I noticed that the power lock switches were also refusing to lock OR unlock the doors. At first I thought maybe I had a faulty fuse, but then I noticed that the dome light still worked. However, that light was quite a bit dimmer than usual.

So that's where I stand now. My car will not start, the power locks make plenty of noise when I try to tell them to lock or unlock the doors but don't do anything, the alarm system will arm and disarm but does so without the usual noises, the dome light's dim but not out, and only the airbag light will activate. Is this a near-dead battery? Is there some secret fuse that would cause this? Some other electrical issue? Maybe it's one of the other myriad fuses that's gone out besides the dome fuse? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Some new details from checking it out again just now. The likely fuses (DOME, CIG, and DOOR) are all fine. When I hit the power lock button, the dome light dims to practically being off. When I turn the headlights on, the airbag indicator blinks repeatedly and the car makes a very strange whirring noise until I turn them back off.

Check for dead battery. Corroded battery cable terminals.

The problem was both. I'm getting it fixed now. Thank you for your help!
