2002 Camry P0171 after changing thermostat
 

Hello all - replaced thermostat in 2002 4 Cyl Camry today. After driving around for a while to check for leaks, I had the check engine light come on and read as a P0171 Bank 1 lean fuel mixture.

Any way this code is related to the thermostat function? Or just a coincidence?

too hard to say if they are related ..did coolant and water go every where ??

can you clear the code and see if it returns ?

Try cleaning the MAF sensor.

Thanks for the replies. Don't think fluid spread to many parts of the engine but I suppose it's possible. Reset CEL and drove yesterday - and no CEL.

The MAF sensor can get dirty and cause issues.
