Cool 2003 Camry LE AC HELP

Hello Camry Forums,

New to the forum but I do have an AC problem, I would like to test the compressor to see if it will run if I jump it at the compressor.

I have checked the fuse in the engine compartment as well as inside the car.

The clutch does turn by hand and there is no blinking light on the dash or the control **** for the AC.

So when I disconnect the electrical connector at the compressor which terminal do I want to run a hot wire to see if the clutch will engage.

Is there anything else I should check as well.

My Electrical skill are limited so bare with me and if you have pictures or diagrams that would help.

Thanks for any help.

The clutch wiring has one wire, might be black/white. Ground return is through the case to engine. A single wire runs along the compressor case to the pulley side face of case having the electric clutch.

There are also two wires going to the speed clutch on the side of the case, brown (ground) and white/blue.

If your using a external source of 12v power. Find the electrical connection to the electric clutch then apply +12v DC to the terminal while applying -12v to compressor case. If you jumping +12v from the battery just connect it to the clutch wire.
