2004 Coolant Misssing- GONE MIA
About once a week I need to add coolant to keep the overflow bottle full. Sometimes a ounce or two and sometime the bottle is empty.
Places where the coolant is NOT appearing: exhaust, oil, transmission fluid, or garage floor. However, when the car is pulled into my garage, I can smell burnt coolant. I don't have a single drop on the garage floor.
I replaced the engine last year- blown head, long story......
Right now , I can't access under the car, and I don't see any seeps on the front of the block.
Any suggestions?

Is this a 4-cylinder engine?
Check for coolant seepage on the back side of the block The area between the head and block under the intake manifold. The insulation foam may also feel wet.
There are coolant dyes that allow viewing with black light.
When engine cold, manually feel all coolant hoses for signs of coolant.

I recently replaced my radiator on my 95 V6 Camry 185K 3.0 liter. The radiator had a slight crack where the upper radiator hose connects to the radiator. Nothing on the cement and slowly lost antifreeze and filled reservoir every month until I figured it out.
Why? When I removed radiator noticed the car had seen alot of bottoming out on the plastic covering below and comprised radiator over time. The owner before had a driveway that did not have a smooth transition to the street. That's what I believe. It did not help either that the front struts were also shot. All good now.

Problem found. Small leak in the top of the radiator. Only leaks when it expands.... Car is used almost exclusively on round trips < 5 miles, so often it would just get hot enough to leak. At the shop, beyond my ability to diagnose or repair.
Thanks for the help. Glad it was not block related.
