Default P0356-how to fix it?

The VSC and check engine light came on in 2007 V6 XLE Camry at 99,999 miles. Both lights went off after AutoZone checking code of P0356-troubleshooting of ignition coil F, No.6. Is the VSC system covered under the power train warranty? Do I need to replace the coil? How could I find out the exact location of No.6 coil? Thanks,

The VSC system may be designed to turn off when the check light comes on. Most likely there is nothing wrong with the VSC system. Fix the P-0356 code and the VSC light should turn off.

The coils are under a plastic shield on top of the engine.

Cylinder 6 (and coil) are located in the cylinder head bank closest to the radiator. It it the coil closest to the drivers side of the engine compartment.

The code refers to the specific coil No 6. You could test for a bad coil bad by swapping it with another cylinder coil. Then when (if) the check light comes on again the code should now read the cylinder (coil number) the coil was moved to.

The coils are easy to replace but might obtain a Haynes service manual (under $20) to determine how to remove the plastic shield and coil.
