2011 Camry LE: lock problem

Hi, I just got a used 2011 Camry LE. It has bad actuators according to the dealer in driver side and passenger side front door. The dealer would change me a lot to replace these actuators. I wonder if these locks can work with the key like the old days. Basically, you turn key once to lock the driver side door, turn key twice to lock all doors even with bad actuators. Currently, when turning key twice, it will not unlock all the doors. This is annoying since I have to go into the car to reach over to lock the passenger door. Thanks very much for any help to solve this problem.

The key will still manually unlock the door that lock is mounted on. Its not going to unlock the other doors (turn key twice) as the other door lock actuators (now bad) do this.

The turn key twice routine just signals the door lock computer to power the other door lock actuators. No different then using the key FOB.

You have to hate when you get cars, but do not pay that much attention to all the car's locks. It's a mess to get them fixed afterward. I once bought an SLK that looked perfectly fine from the outside and worked like a charm. Then, one day while I was at a gas station I got locked out of it due to a failure in the lock system, which is not a simple one to deal with. I had to call a friend who knew a great locksmith from https://swiftlocksmithinc.com/locksmith-durham-nc/. They are the only ones in Durham who can fix this kind of problem.

I also called my friend who's a locksmith and he helped me unlocking the door lock.
