Per Toyota 5W-20 is the thickest oil recommended when a lower viscosity is not available.
If a consistently warm climate one could go 5W-30.
Reasons for the lower viscosity call out is the availability of 0W oils via synthetic that allow this product and car makers trying to improve their CAFE A lower viscosity oil slightly improves MPG.
A bigger plus is using the synthetic which breaks down at higher temps and changing it regularly, say every 7500 miles.
