21 Camry rear bumper alignment

Hello all, 21 Camry nightshade SE owner here. Noticed just now how badly off the rear bumper is from how it's supposed to be. Bought this car back in June from CarMax never noticed this and looks like it may slowly be getting worse. Tried hitting it back and place and it won't go back in, left side is a little more in as well than I'd like. Car has never been in any accidents clean title, does have 111k miles so maybe it has had something happen but everything looks original paint etc so I doubt that. I'm guessing just broken bumper retainer clips or the clips on the bumper it's self? Just posting to see if anyone else has this

Examine the cover paint for cracks and scoffs from being hit.

Youtube may have videos on taking the cover off to inspect. A clip could have broken off. Never found pushing covers back in place successful.

If you think the car was hit, inspect the paint surfaces with a light such as you are looking for any distortions in the reflected light. Youtube may also have videos on how to do this.

Also, if you have a trusted body shop I would swing by and see if they have any ideas of why it might be like that. Sometimes things are fit poorly and nothing is really broken.

yes if you have a doubt that your car is hit by something and you did not knew at that time then you have to inspect you car paint surfaces with a sharp light torch or something like that.

I decided to take off the sides and inspect them, clips are broken off on the right side, accidentally bumped a post at night earlier on the left side and that broke off some clips on the left side.

Seems like the clips break really easily on these bumpers as the speed I was going was reversing not even 3 mph. Guess something to keep in mind so yes the right side has broken clips too.

I'll be looking for a pre dawn mica grey bumper so if anyone has one near the Spokane WA area I'd be interested.

Oof, sorry to hear. Those clips are notorious for being very fragile.
