86 camry help please
 

Hello and thanks for your time for those who read and respond. My Camry with 130xxx miles and a good exhaust all though there is no cat just a single muffler smells of very strong exhaust fumes outside of vehicle which seams to happen after it gets out of the cold circuit loop. o2 sensor? I really dont know but would really like to try and narrow it down before throwing money at it. Thanks again.

Has the MPG dropped?

Are you sure the engine is getting out of the cold circuit loop? Perhaps the computer still thinks the engine is cold and is adding access fuel.

What engine model?

The milage has seamed to drop, you make an excellent point. The egine is a 2s-elc.

Might be the coolant temp sensor for the computer.
