Default 94 Camry Drive Door Electrical Issues

With the driver door fully open, the windows and door locks do not work. With the driver door closed, the windows and locks sometimes work. I know there is a break in the wire harness that goes between the door and the car. Any tips on how to remove the harness so I can fix the wire? Can it be done in place or is the best thing to do is remove the harness?

Thanks

I think that you are going to have to start somewhere and a test light is going to be your friend. I would get the door panel off and inspect wires in there. I would imagine that the issue is where there is rubbing where the wires come into the door or where they enter the car in the door jamb. Start where you can have a better view and that is where the door panel comes off. I'm new to Toyota's and this might be a common problem and a wise one will pitch in their two cents.
