96 Camry hesitations and stalling
Whats up guys....new member here. My girlfriend has a 96 Camry 4 door 4 cylinder. And lately she has been telling me the car feels like its gonna shut off on her. And sometimes does stall out. Mostly just after starting or driving very slowly like in a parking lot.
What sort or throttle body issues or idle control issues are out there? What have you guys seen on this? thanks alot |

RE: 96 Camry hesitations and stalling
not alot to go on...but you can always check the 4 main ingredients for an engine.
Fuel: pump, filter, gas getting to the cylinders Air: Air filter and intake...i once had a mouse eat my filter and take up residence in my taurus air filte Spark: Are the spark plugs firing Compression: Are the pistons stroking... there're a skew of things that could be happening, but check the basics first. Also check to make sure all your vaccuum lines are tight EDIT also, check the throttle body for build up....idk why, but crazier things have happened |

Engine hot, cold or both.
The IAC valve controls bypass air for idle speed. Cleaning can help the situation. See link below for details. http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=158097 |

and how much to replace it....the IAC motor. Anyone got a good link to pick one up |
