2009 Camry pulling to left
What's up guys? I'm new here because I just purchased my first Camry last week. My wife is going to be the driver most of the time and while test-driving it she noticed that it pulled to the left. I purchased this 2009 Camry from a Jeep/Chrysler dealership with 4500 miles on it so it's basically brand new. The dealership took it in and adjusted the alignment and sent us to the local Toyota dealer to make sure it was within their specs and it was. The problem is that under acceleration it still pulls a little to the left. The service tech attributed this to the fact that the left CV axle is a considerable amount longer than the one on the right and that makes it pull. I want to ask you guys that have been in these cars a lot what you think. I have used forums before to get a lot of good info and I would appreciate your opinions. I've had a couple of front wheel drive cars and never noticed this problem. Also, just so you know, this car has the 2.4L engine in it, just for reference.

Should only be a slight tug from the steering wheel, not all over the road.
There have statements about this issue in major test drive articles for the 2009. Thus it appears to be "normal" unless excessive.

There a lot of factors to consider, first would be the alignment of your streering, second the wear and tear of your wheels and lastly the surface of the round. Try to distinguish which of the three is the problem.

RE: 2009 Camry pulling to left
I bought an 09 Camry XLE with the 2.4 engine in March and had the same problem. I took it to the dealer I bought it from and they said one of their techs drove it and said it waas OK.
I took it to a local dealer for service, mentioned the pulling left problem to them, and they fixed the problem. As it turned out, Toyota has an entire process to remedy this problem. It's in one of their service bulletins, and consist of several steps, from tire rotation, changing tires from one wheel to another etc. The service bulletin number is ST005-1, OPP code 044184 Combo A-B-C-D-E and 4200-91 A T1-31 T2-99. Bottom is that they solved the problem. Good luck.

generally, there are four things that can cause this to happen,
1. mismatched or uneven tires
2. broken or sagging springs
3. Wheel alignment
4. The front brake is dragging
