ABS Sensor 03 Camry
 

Wife has an 03 Camry with 123,000 miles on it. The abs light came on so I ran the code which said left rear abs wheel sensor. I pulled the wheel & brake assembly but I dont see any way to remove the abs sensor. Is the speed sensor removable or do I have to replace the wheel bearing/ hub assembly as a whole to fix this issue? Thanks.

The sensor is pressed into the hub. Toyota has a tool similar to a bearing separator. The separators tapered edge wedges between the sensor case and hub. Then a slide hammer is used to pull the sensor out.

Another slide hammer tool with a mandrel is used to press in the new sensor.
