Adjust Ignition Timing?

I own a 1989 Toyota Camry LE V6. I recently took it to get smogged and I passed on everything except the ignition timing which registered at 19 BTDC. In california this qualifies you as a GROSS POLLUTER. I want to fix this however I am mechanically illeterate. How do I adjust the ignition timing? If you can tell me please show pictures (if available or be as descriptive as possible. I really need your guys' help.

It also failed in the NO (PPM) Section with the following measurements:
15MPH: 3707
25MPH: 2833

Thanks guys!

I think the best way to start is to get an owners manual for your car. They are not very expensive.
I always get one for every car I have ever owned.
