Air intake control valve cracked

there is a hairline crack in the very end of this on my 94 camry, what can this cause my car to do?

1994 toyota camry dies when coming to a stop or when first accelorating sometimes. It revs up and down at will when on the highway sometimes. Revs up to 1800-2000 rpm (double the norm) when placed in park. When it did this once i put it in drive to turn it off and it died suddenly. Usually wont start back up for a while. Problems seem to persist when engine gets warmed up.

could this b the problem?

Also, is there any other sensor that can make the engine rev up after it gets warm?

The valve controls idle speed.

For hot or cold starts an engine coolant temp sensor is linked to the computer to tell it if the coolant is warm or cold. The computer then adjusts the valve more open or closed.

Check the sensor and valve.

The Autozone website has the info needed to check both parts. www.autozone.com
