99 Camry - Left interior dome light on
Hi everyone,
Yesterday I accidentally left my interior dome light on for 8 hours. I noticed my door wasn't closed all the way when I got out of work, but the car started up just fine. No hesitation what so ever, the battery is a Duralast Gold from Autozone. Since it's only around 3 months old I don't think I did any serious damage, however I'm not sure if there are any extra steps I should take. My commute is roughly 35 minutes, so I'm guessing what ever power was drained was restored.
Should I idle my car to charge the battery some more? Or just drive the car normally?
-Thanks

Chances are that the drain from the interior lights was minor, seeing how you started the car up 8hrs later with no problem.
Chances are if you drive it for an hour straight you can eliminate any doubts you may have.
You can also have autozone test the battery if it will help you feel better..
