A/C Too Cold

My 94 Camry A/C reads below 10° F. A mechanic told me that my A/C sensor is failing. However I cannot find any information about this or the location of the sensor.

What type of AC system (manual or automatic) and engine model (V6 or 4 cylinder).

I would assume that my A/C system is automatic, it is controlled by the same dial as the heater. But l have never heard of A/C being automatic or manual.

I forgot to add my 94 Camry has a four cylinder engine.

There is supposed to be an evaporator/expansion valve temp sensor. Assume location in the evaporator area near expansion valve.

Harness wiring plug location for sensor appears behind the passenger side glove box above the air inlet servo motor harness plug. Height on the dash of the sensor plug appears about the same as the top of the instrument panel cluster.

Wire colors are red/white and blue/white.

Sensor can be removed for testing by taking out a screw.

Resistance:
32F = 4.6 – 5.1 kohm
59F = 2.1 – 2.6 kohm

Sensor appears to control the AC magnetic clutch via the AC amp. If a bad sensor the compressor may be running too long.
