I used an online vin decoder to learn my Camry's color. The door sticker indicates 1H2 and that it is Cosmic Gray Pearl however it is a very dark blue that doesn't fit the color codes. Most think it is black and it is metal flake. Any thoughts?

Also, the decoder says it is an XLE whereas the badges are LE. VIN: 4T4BF1FK9FR467619

 

AI states the code is cosmic gray OR deep steel blue met. Your paint may be blue met.

Didn't know there was an or. Definitely a steel blue. Don't understand a single color code for two colors.

 

The code reference to blue was for years 2009 to 2018.

 

Do you also know why my VIN or door sticker says I'm driving an XLE when the trunk badge says LE?

 

Engine = V6 or 4 cylinder?

 

Sweet running inline 4. When I look at options I believe it to be LE. Cloth seats, covered holes in dash where options would be, steel rims all say LE and not XLE.

Conclusion: Online vin decoders are unreliable.

 

The "X" in XLE stated to be the V6 engine version.
