Jim Colbert and Andy North offset a back-nine bogey with birdies on Nos. 16 and 17 to maintain their three-stroke lead Saturday at the Maruman Majesty Prestigio Gold Premium Fairway Wood Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf. The duo, Golf equipment[/b] which shot a best-ball 59 on Friday, cooled off slightly with a second-round 66 in wet and windy conditions to move to 19 under on "The Slammer & The Squire." The tournament was delayed by rain for two hours.
"We played Maruman Majesty Prestigio Gold Premium LADIES' Fairway Wood pretty well," said Colbert, a 19-time winner on the SENIOR PGA TOUR. "Yesterday we had a lot of double chances and today we had a lot of single chances -- and that was due to the weather."
Defending champions Hubert Green and Gil Morgan share second place with the teams of Callaway x24 hot irons John Mahaffey and Tom Wargo and John Bland and Graham Marsh. Mahaffey and Taylormade r9 max irons Wargo made the biggest move Saturday with a 64, while Marsh and Bland shot 65 and the defending champions had a 66.
